The Shadowman | A Haunting
In the late 1960s two brothers, Tom and Tim Yancey, encounter a demonic entity in the woods surrounding their home in Lake Worth, Florida. For sometime, they try to ignore their experience of what they labeled as "the shadowman" and get on their summer. Tim wakes up one night to see the shadowman lurking outside the window. The father Sonny, a Korean War veteran who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, goes out to investigate and sees nothing. Two weeks later, Tom begins to act strangely as he began sleeping walking at night and wandering into the woods. Eventually, Sonny stacks chairs in front of the door to keep Tom from sleep walking. Tim wakes up one night to see his brother sleep walk again. Unable to get out of the room, the entity calls Tom into the closet and Tim hears voices chattering inside. His parents come into the room and think Tom is toying with them. Tim wakes up to find objects from outside thrown at him. His mother, Barbara, hears his cries and is confused at how the items got into the house. She suspects the house is haunted and tries, but fails, to call out the entity using a Ouija board. Tim sees the entity climbing up the wall and goes to tell his parents. This enrages his father who claims that the boogeyman is out to punish him for being a bad kid. The boys keep silent on their experiences and now refer to the entity as "the boogeyman". Sonny grows angrier for not understanding what is going on in the house. He takes it as far to send the boys out of the house one night on Christmas Eve to spend time with their "friend" after he accuses them of loud stomping and refuse to believe they weren't behind it. Soon, an incident lands Tim in the hospital. Years later, Tim becomes a paranormal investigator. After many years of not seeing each other, the brothers finally come together after Tim buys the old house to settle unfinished business and get rid of the demon that haunts it.
